Okay, I posted some in the comments of Make3.0Shine's Blog Post where he put his theories. Make3.0Shine had some good theories about Skylanders, so good job! :). Also, good job to EH28, who has made a whole lot of great and believable theories!
Hugo is the Evilest Villain of them ALL![]
Okay, I will put my Hugo theory here. I know it's hard to believe, but Hugo has always been one of my favourite characters, and I always wondered... what is he doing during Giants, Swap Force, and Trap Team? Okay, I get he was in the citadel in the first two games I mentioned, but in trap team I got quite suspicious. He only appeared in the opening and ending cutscenes, so I wonder... what the heck was he doing all that time? Also, maybe, Hugo is not afraid of sheep! Ever thought of that? Maybe he's just acting like the mild-mannered assistant, while really, he was plotting to destroy the Skylanders from the inside! This is hardly possible, I know, but just think about it. What better guise for an evil mastermind who uses the strategic way? Hugo has definitely put up a convincing disguise, but now i'm onto him.
Kaos trained under Malefor[]
After Kaos left his royal family, where did he go? Perhaps if he wanted to study the art of darkness, who better to teach him than the Dark Master himself? This probably took place after the legend of Spyro, even during, maybe, so Malefor taught Kaos to hate Spyro, Cynder, and when Kaos found out they were working with a team, his hate for them just grew until he decided to try to rule Skylands not only to eliminate them, but also to have all of the power to himself, and prove himself to his teacher. Cause you know, Kaos is well, Kaos, and Malefor is the Dark Master.

Kaos was Adopted![]
What if Kaos was adopted, living his whole childhood in a royal family, not knowing his roots? Perhaps when he found out that he had Portal Master powers, his ADOPTIVE mother was annoyed because she blamed Portal Masters for most problems in Skylands. He later left, and found out his real mother was Kaossandra, and she had given him the portal master powers. Say that the previous theory is true, maybe it was Malefor who told Kaos he had a real mother who was also a portal master? Makes sense to me.
Nightshade and Luminous were in the doom raiders, but got sacked[]
Let's start with Nightshade. His personality longs for gold, so maybe he tried to steal some gold from the Doom Raiders. Also, when you're a thief, and your queen is made of Gold, it's hard to keep your hands off her (Inappropriate reference not intended), so he got fired. Nightshade is quite a "I give my own orders" guy, and I see how that would affect the team scene.
With Luminous, he may have not been fired, but left. Honestly, Luminous is quite mysterious, and can take the form of other people. He may have sown mistrust through the team, nearly until all-ought fistfights. He also seems to be bound to sunscraper spires, so maybe when he visited the first time, he just could not stay away. Or maybe he's just a cynical loneliness-lover.
There are still Benevolent Ancients around[]
Remember how brain was locked in a jar by the ancients for his Antidisestablishmentarianism (whatever that means)? Well, why didn't he just rot in it? Maybe because the ancients grow to be well, ancient. We don't know how mind magic was "somehow" reawakened, but maybe it was because the ancients reawakened too. And perhaps they were with us all along in the Skylanders games... disguising themselves as Mabu, Gillmen, Molekin... How do you think Blobbers knows all this stuff? Good education? I think not..
Eon has a Dark Side[]
Somehow, I get the feeling that Hektore and Eon look a lot alike in their floating head forms. So is Hektore Eon's dark side? Makes sense. Seems like Eon was possessed, and then became Hektore, doing evil things, turning back to Eon, and then not knowing what he did. Seems unlikely, though.
The Dragon hunter is a Legend of Spyro Ape[]
Perhaps after Malefor was defeated, there was one ape who swore revenge on Spyro and branded himself the Dragon Hunter. However, we don't know much about this character, so there's not a lot of evidence to back it up.
Kaos' Biological Father is the Darkness[]
Okay, I started this with a Krankcase joke, but I really think Kaos' father is the darkness. First off, who else would create a child with demigodlike power and so evil? Think about that, then think about the fact that Kaos has never seen his father within the years of the series. Then, what did the darkness once say? Ah, yes "Say hello to your mother for me"
Arbo's Parent Barbo is Stump Smash[]
Okay, just hear me out. Here are the resemblances between Stump Smash and Arbo.
1. They are both sentient trees.
2. Both hate trolls.
3. Both grew up as normal plants.
So what if when Stump Smash didn't have his hammers, and when he came to the citadel the first time, he used a seed to spawn what would become Arbo? Another theory is that Arbo's parent is actually none other than tree rex. Or maybe Stump Smash is Barbo, and Tree Rex is Larbo!
Night Shift is Roller Brawl's Brother[]
First of all, both are vampires. Warning: This theory is mega goofy. According to her backstory, Roller Brawl had overprotective brothers who were captured. What if one had previously been a boxer, and escaped when he was captured, and then went and joined the Skylanders to look for his long-lost sister, while his sister was also in the Skylanders looking for her brothers, while they don't know that the other is right under their noses!
Skylanders Academy is not Canon[]
This is my only out-of-universe theory, with a few reasons.
1. The Doom Raiders met Kaos in trap team for the first time, but also on TV.
2. Broccoli guy talks differently, is a member of the Doom Raiders, and Krankcase and Gulper aren't.
3. From what I understand, Skylanders is in the same universe as Legend of Spyro, but in academy, Spyro was born in Skylands. To add to this, there is no sign of Cynder.
4. Kaos still lives with his mother.
5. Pop Fizz played in a band with Wolfgang, while in canon, it was Sal who was Wolfgang's bandmate.
KAOS IS SUPREME LEADER SNOKE!!!![]
Isn't it logical? They have similar clothes and similar heads. What if Kaos travelled through a rift to the star wars universe, where he became Supreme Leader Snoke? Hasn't Kaos already tried to project a giant avatar of himself to look more imposing? It's without a doubt. Kaos is Supreme Leader Snoke, debate over.

The Blublins are the Ice Vikings from Flip Wreck's Backstory[]
Before we start, I just want to mention EH28. He has made a great Blobbers theory I never thought of before. Good work! Now, let us get started. The Blublins seemed quite icy, and quite vikingy! So why would they not be the ice Vikings?
