Oilspill Island is the fifth chapter in the console version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. The Skylanders are brought here by Gurglefin after agreeing to help save his fellow Gillmen from the Trolls, who have taken over the island to drill for oil which they give to Kaos for his machines.
Description
Oilspill Island is a cluster of polluted sandy islands overrun with smoke-belching, oil-leaking Troll machinery. The level emits a strong unhealthy atmosphere, and its overcast sky is a lurid green color.
Story
The Skylanders arrive at the islands on Gurglefin's ship, who has asked for their help in stopping Trolls that have turned his home into a giant oil factory in order to supply Kaos with fuel for his machines. Additionally, the Trolls have also captured the rest of the Gillmen and plan to eat them. The Skylanders battle through the factory, taking on Trolls and Tech Spell Punks, as well as opening gates with redirected energy beams. The Skylanders find five caged Gillmen throughout the factory and free them.
After freeing the Gillmen, Gurglefin thanks the Skylanders, but tells them that the Gillmen still need help destroying the factory, as it is polluting their water and mucking up the environment. The Skylanders find a spare Troll Bomb and throw it into the big central smoke belcher, causing a chain reaction that results in the whole factory being demolished, much to the gratitude of Gurglefin and the Gillmen.

Skylanders: Lost Islands
In Skylanders: Lost Islands, Oilspill Island is one of the locations to which Skylanders can adventure. It is unlocked for all Skylanders of Hero Rank 3 and above, and Adventures there take ten minutes and 45 energy, rewarding 70 Hero Points and 420 Gold.

- This is the first chapter in the series to feature Gillmen, Trolls, and light beam puzzles.
- Although Oilspill Island's sky appears green within the actual level, the level select image of Oilspill Island shows a light brown sky, and the cloudy background of the level's loading screen is a stormy gray-brown.
- In the Wii version, Tadpole Island and Exhaust Vent Zeta are unnamed and do not count towards the 'All Areas Found' objective.
- In the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, switching Skylanders while traveling through the tubes in the Fire Elemental Gate will place you instantly at the pipe's exit.
