Skylanders Wiki

Need help moving the Enemy, Species, and Item articles from having plural titles to singular. To go in line to how they are introduced, even though there are more of the same kind. For example, from “Dragons” to “Dragon” and “Soul Gems to “Soul Gem”. It’s a big task. Categories and Magic Items don’t count, and no need to change the bolded names in the articles.

Mudwater Hollow is the home of the Ancient Flashfin, whom the Skylanders must rescue from Greeble Evilizers in Skylanders: Swap Force. Besides the Flashfin, other aquatic inhabitants, such as the Gillmen, reside here.

Description

Mudwater Hollow is a backwater swamp inhabited by Gillmen, decorated with their houses, and littered with trash. Some parts of the level aspire to a more natural design, including tree branch bridges and willow trees, whereas others are muddy and polluted. True to its name, the level's water is a murky brown color, and the level's color palette is notably less saturated than that of many other Swap Force levels.

Trivia

  • In Stink Bomb's Soul Gem footage, Mudwater Hollow appears to have darker lighting and a green sky. This could imply that the level's appearance was changed later in development.
  • The music that plays during this level's raft segment is a throwback to Dark Water Cove's theme.
  • Mudwater Hollow was the first major prototype level created for Swap Force, described as "a giant turbulent glob of water" in which "the player's goal was to save the Giant Fish inside inside it."[1]
  • One of Mudwater Hollow's houses, which appears in concept art but not the actual game, is called the Rusty Bass Bait Shoppe.
  • In Swap Force's alpha, Mudwater Hollow was called "Muddywatta Holla." It reused music from Troll Factory, Troll Warehouse, and Aqueduct.[2]
