Motleyville is a decrepit desert town run by the Baron Sharpfin. It serves as the seventh chapter of Skylanders: Swap Force, where it is taken over by Kaos' minion, Baron Von Shellshock, who evilizes Whiskers and imprisons Tessa and Flynn. It is up to the Skylanders to stop Shellshock and return the town to its rightful owner.

Description

Motleyville is a dusty scrapyard located in the Barrens Desert. The level is littered with heaps of metal junk, including old train cars, tires, and train tracks. Pools of toxic sludge dot the ground, reinforcing the level's ramshackle atmosphere. The sky is a pale purple-pink hue that fades into peach and lavender.

Trivia

  • In the Wii version of Skylanders: Swap Force, Greebles take the place of the Arkeyan enemies populating Motleyville.
  • When emerging from Lester's Storage Shed after destroying its crates, the Dirt Shark by the entrance will ask if you broke anything and then burrow inside to check. However, if none of the crates are broken, he won't speak or leave.
  • In Swap Force's alpha, Motleyville was called Shellshocked. It reused music from Dark Water Cove and Quicksilver Vault.[1]
  • According to Swap Force's alpha voicelines, the Skylanders originally had to search Motleyville for Sharpfin, meeting him after the end of Shellshock's battle. Shellshock's Earth Geargolem would also threaten a group of Dirt Sharks, requiring the Skylander to intervene and save them. An Air Geargolem would appear shortly afterward, though no Air Geargolems appear in this level in the final game. Shellshock also threatened to Evilize all of the kestrels in the Cloudbreak Islands, shutting down air travel.[2]
