An admin has the power to ban users, temporarily or permanently, make deep changes to pages that are usually restricted for other contributors, edit the wiki's style, that kind of thing(Content Moderators can usually make complex changes as they develop useful templates, but they can't ban, I think).
Becoming an admin in a wikia changes depending on where you are, like being friends with the main admin or a submission process in a really big one, but in the Skylanders Wiki, we try to look for very regular users that make good contributions, that have been around for a while and don't seem like they'll leave anytime soon.
We're not looking for any new ones at the moment, since BRRSpore was recently added as one for his amazing contributions.
Hello. I'm new here, so I just wanted to check if I'm allowed to add some information I found. In a Skylanders Superchargers Artbook, I found this page that said this elven girl was called the Troubletaker (instead of the Collector) and was originally 3 elderly aunts. I found some designs I think might be the aunts (in the same artbook), but it's just an assumption.
Another note, don't forget to source them. While it's 100% true, because the books are so rare and scans need some digging around, someone might remove the information thinking it's made up. No need to give exact pages if you don't know, just preface the sentence in "as seen in the Clutch/Strata Swap Force/Superchargers Artbook" or something along those lines.
There aren't any remaster leaks. That's Ring of Heroes' recreation that Com2us talked in the last update for the game(no figures, "gacha", matches the description), if it's happening at all and not just on the release list as a placeholder.
No problem, it's still a very well structured article! For trivia, the section needed a divider under the title "Trivia", which can be done by selecting "Heading 2" at the top in the Visual mode and then typing the name, or two == before and after the title of the section in Source mode. Then, for each interesting information about the enemy, you put an asterisk before it, which automatically creates a new bullet point.
Another thing of note is that, by adding [[ before an article's name and the opposite brackets after in Source mode, it automatically creates a link. This can be a good way to quickly link to the level articles, like Mystic Mill, for example. As they're already listed in the template, it's easier to just link them to it, and have the main description of the character be just an overall summary of their purpose.
The page requires a basic introduction, See Also for the villain, and all the templates and categories. We also put in a stub template because these are basically never finished until we get someone to check the game code and really make sure we have all about the character we need to know(probably not happening anytime soon). Both of them also have Armored counterparts, but since they're so hard to find, don't feel pressured to put it in unless you know what they look like.
So, with the page you want to imitate, you get the Source mode for it, shown at the top-right corner of the box. This means you don't have to search for all these templates and code, and just copy what you need and discard what you don't.
This gets you this skeleton for an article:
|name = Rage Mage
|species = Unknown
|image = (if you know how to put in pictures, they go in here)
|role = Enemy
|world = (insert any levels where the enemy appears here)
|appearances = [[Skylanders: Trap Team]] <br/> [[Skylanders: Imaginators]]
|attack = (insert the abilities here)}}
Describe the character briefly here.
*[[Rage Mage (villain)]]
* Put trivia in these asterisks.
And then you just fill in the structure with what's different from the original article, and put the categories on the right corner, below Add Features and media. "Skylanders: Trap Team", "Skylanders: Trap Team Enemies", "Enemies" will do, as they have no known species and aren't the villain by himself.
Hi there, I'm the new Wiki Manager for the Skylanders Wiki, taking over from User:Jr Mime. I hope everything is running smoothly, but feel free to ask me questions if you have any. My areas of expertise are listed on my profile, along with some examples of things I've done. You can reach me by leaving a message on my wall, on Discord at Moviesign#6611, or by email at Moviesign at fandom.com.
Ummm.... are you allowed to mention whatever was written in Clutch: The Art of SuperChargers on several pages of this wiki? I mean, last time we did that with Strata: The Art of Swap Force, we were forced to take the information and its pictures down by Activision's request.
What Aura said. Skylandersmutual on tumblr is posting scans, so I'm taking the information on them for trivia. Unfortunately the book doesn't do a full run-through on each character's process like say Riptide's development, so we can only make small guesses and write what they used to look like in sketches.
Deleted it for you! Usually, it's not a problem because it's used on user profiles and it's only a few, but since it was just uploaded with zero context I deleted it with some directions to the user. Thanks for the heads up.
What? But you can do it yourself by retaking the images and have them cropped and at their original size. You may want to keep your images at their original size next time instead of shrinking them to low quality.
Wikia images are a little weird on the display, sometimes they only show up properly opening the URL on a new tab. To be on the safe side, just always save them as big as you can, which is probably the size of the video on your screen.
That's not it, last night I could display it just fine, but now it won't do it at all. And it's not just this, any other image won't display and there's something very wrong relating to images on other wikipedia's.
S1 might not be saving because the picture could be sharing a name with something else, but I don't know why they're getting errors otherwise. The Spyro gallery IS getting pretty big though, and I wonder if it's too big for the fandom addons to work right.
I'm afraid I can't, it'd destroy the quality of the picture to make it 50% bigger; it's only conserved when you make it smaller. I'd have to go in and get new screenshots. However, I did rename the picture named S1, hopefully that'll help with the gallery glitch.
