Ummm.... are you allowed to mention whatever was written in Clutch: The Art of SuperChargers on several pages of this wiki? I mean, last time we did that with Strata: The Art of Swap Force, we were forced to take the information and its pictures down by Activision's request.
What Aura said. Skylandersmutual on tumblr is posting scans, so I'm taking the information on them for trivia. Unfortunately the book doesn't do a full run-through on each character's process like say Riptide's development, so we can only make small guesses and write what they used to look like in sketches.
Deleted it for you! Usually, it's not a problem because it's used on user profiles and it's only a few, but since it was just uploaded with zero context I deleted it with some directions to the user. Thanks for the heads up.
What? But you can do it yourself by retaking the images and have them cropped and at their original size. You may want to keep your images at their original size next time instead of shrinking them to low quality.
Wikia images are a little weird on the display, sometimes they only show up properly opening the URL on a new tab. To be on the safe side, just always save them as big as you can, which is probably the size of the video on your screen.
That's not it, last night I could display it just fine, but now it won't do it at all. And it's not just this, any other image won't display and there's something very wrong relating to images on other wikipedia's.
S1 might not be saving because the picture could be sharing a name with something else, but I don't know why they're getting errors otherwise. The Spyro gallery IS getting pretty big though, and I wonder if it's too big for the fandom addons to work right.
I'm afraid I can't, it'd destroy the quality of the picture to make it 50% bigger; it's only conserved when you make it smaller. I'd have to go in and get new screenshots. However, I did rename the picture named S1, hopefully that'll help with the gallery glitch.
I was thinking of making a few of the missing season 3 galleries and I just have a few questions. One, I noticed a redirect in the already existing articles, but how do I leave one? Two, what should the proper images be named?
Thanks for the contribution! The code should be "::(episode name)/Gallery" in the episode's article(you can make the link with normal text then make it italic on Visual Mode, it's faster), and the gallery itself should be named "(episode name)/Gallery", no quotation marks.
As for the episode titles, there's no need to describe the scene; me and Aura use S0E0 at the start, with the zeroes representing season and episode number, followed by the names of the characters on the picture. If there's too many, just use a group term like "Cadets" or "Team Spyro"; if there's too many with the same name I add 1,2,3 etc or something about the picture that makes it recognizable from a glance. This helps finding the pictures on character-specific galleries later because, take it from me, Special:MultipleUpload 's limit of 20 pictures per upload gets tiring quickly.
Um, about the names, do I have to do the numbers in the exact order in which they happened? Like, you upload images from the half-way point of the episode and later an earlier point, am I making sense?
Not really, feel free to edit as you have the time avaliable and put the template "Stub section" if you'll have to stop for a while in that Heading. Just be aware that other people might want to expand on it or cut redundant parts.
Thanks once again for the contributions, btw! I kinda got soured on Season 3's direction and I lost all interest on writing much about it. Ring of Heroes kinda took up my interest more, recently.
Okay, we need to talk. For the longest period, you kept saying to the people that Chain Reaction is not voiced by Charlie Adler because IMDB is not an accurate source for it. While I will agree that IMDB is not the best site to look up who voiced who and they can be inaccurate sometimes, I can truly assure you that Chain Reaction IS voice by Charlie Adler. How to prove it? Use your sound instincts, try and detect something familiar about that voice.
Ignoring IMDB, I can detect that Chain Reaction IS voiced by Charlie Adler because the way he voiced the character is very similar to Starscream from the Live Action Transformers movie and Doctor Doom from the Super Hero Squad Show. I can't think of anyone else who can pull a voice like that, not even John Kassir (who at one point took over Charlie Adler's role as Buster Bunny in the last few episodes of Tiny Toons, but even I was able to tell the difference).
What I'm trying to say is that don't rely on websites for proof, use your instincts. Try and detect that something about that character sounds familiar. Ignoring a certain tweet, I was able to detect that Tara Strong voices Coco in the Academy series even under that Australian accent. Similarly, I was able to detect Tom Kenny's voice under Tree Rex, Hot Head and Hot Dog (the commercial versions, not the ingame ones) and even some people pointed out the John DiMaggio voiced Pain-Yatta in the Meet the Villains trailer ()
Now, listen to Starscream from the Live Action Transformers movies (the 2nd or 3rd ones I recommend), listen to Doctor Doom from the Super Hero Squad Show and then listen to Chain Reaction in Skylanders Imaginators and tell me that is not Charlie Adler being the voice.
This one is pretty minor and not super consistent but even Charlie Adler himself linked his IMDB page on his Twitter account and he hasn't complained about any inaccuracy within that page. ()
I'm not saying you should automatically consider this true evidence that Chain Reaction is voice by Charlie Adler but it gives of a hint on how to detect that familiarity in that voice. Websites don't always have your evidence. Try it and maybe it can save you the pressure on reverting everyone's edits on the Chain Reaction page. Protecting it doesn't help for long.
As close as it is, at this point it's better to get proof. My instincts usually get me guessing 3 different VAs that in fact aren't that person, and sometimes is someone doing a really good impression of another one (just look at VAs that replaced Troy Baker in the last decade - several of them are impossible to tell apart unless you get the list). Until there's a twitter link, or a non-user edited site that actually lists accurate information, I'll keep on shutting down edits from a source that's unreliable. I didn't forget the wars over Boom Bloom and Aurora either and they ended up having different answers. If Aura thinks that's enough and lets Charlie Adler be the VA listed, I won't complain, but for now I just don't want IMDB as a source that can open up other pages getting information from there.
You could also try Facebook, Instagram and maybe a Youtube interview with the said voice actor as alternate ways of getting your source of info. David Sobolov and Rob Paulsen proved they voiced Bumble Blast, Krypt King and Smash Hit throught their Facebook pages or comments on the official Skylanders facebook page. There are some Skylanders who do have enlisted voice actors but where is the evidence for them? How can we tell if Josh Keaton truly voiced Knight Light in Trap Team. How do we know Travis Willingham truly voiced Doom Stone?
I have noticed a few things going on, one of which is that were constantly undoing and deleting some of the edits that I did and I know it is your job to make this Wiki the best it can be. But it does feel like you are just deleting stuff on without reading it, or at least out of a dislike towards me.
I know that a few admins question my grammer and I know that it is not the best, but in hopes to clear a small nitpick, my main language is English.
I do apologise if this seemed as a hate comment or spam, I do try to help this Wiki as I can, although I am not active here as much.
You constantly make edits that make no sense or assume things about the story that just don't match. No one has anything against you specificically as far as I know, but we really can't clean up every instance until it has proper cohesion or do research to add what you're trying to say since everyone contributes here as a hobby and sometimes there's just no motivation to. I try to proofread when I have enough free time but sometimes I just catch these in a hurry or when I just want to write elsewhere.
I do not mean to assume things about the main story, as I mainly do edits on the Trivia parts of some pages and create some lesser known pages as well as categories. I againg apologise is my edits look rushed.
Hi I am sorry if this isnt the right place for this, but I am looking to find the original picture in as HD quality as possible of the Skylanders on their respective wiki pages. For example Wild Storm's page : http://skylanders.wikia.com/wiki/Wild_Storm
and his respective picture
I would very much like the high def version of this (and all the others if possible) - are these available?
You can most likely find them in the official skylanders.com pages. When you look for the skylander of choice, check for page info, then the "media" tab, and there's usually a very large version of these picutres among the URLs. We make them smaller since they would stretch the template.
