- “Star Bright, Star Fight!”
- —Lob-Star's official catchphrase
Lob-Star is a blue lobster who is one of the Water Trap Masters in Skylanders: Trap Team.
Background
Personality
Lob-Star is a disciplined crustacean and a hard worker. He has been able to accomplish great things by being patient and understanding in his studies.[1]
Biography
Hailing from the depths of the undersea kingdom of Star City, Lob-Star was the head chef of his own five-star restaurant, often cooking for the King Fish himself. However, few knew that Lob-Star had secretly been training in a mysterious art of fighting known only to a few crustaceans. For a while, Lob-Star was able to keep the peace while still keeping his hidden identity. But when a giant Leviathan threatened to swallow up Lob-Star’s guests and capture the King Fish himself, he had no choice but to swim into action. Calling on every trick his mysterious training had taught him, Lob-Star defeated the Leviathan and drove it out of Star City. For risking everything, Lob-Star was recruited by Master Eon to join the Skylanders. Now, as part of the Trap Team, he uses his powerful Traptanium Throwing Stars to serve up defeat to anyone who threatens Skylands!
Story
Light in the Dark
Lob-Star was one of the Skylanders sought by Gearshift to tackle the incoming candy threat lead by Pain-Yatta. The lobster Trap Master took part in attacking an army of candy warriors along with his fellow Skylanders before they were forced to retreat to some castle ruins and hold out until help arrives. As they were cornered by the candy army within the fortress, Lob-Star and the other Skylanders served as Skylands' last line of defense, battling Pain-Yatta's army with all of their might. The candy army soon fell to pieces just as the Skylanders were becoming overwhelmed (thanks to the actions of the Light and Dark Skylanders in their fight against Pain-Yatta), earning the heroes their victory.
Gameplay
Lob-Star can throw his Traptanium Ninja Stars which burst when it hits an enemy. His Secondary attack allows him to create steam blasts from his body, when charged it allows him to enter an steamed state, where his attack power and speed is increased . His third attack allows him to dash, which increases his speed, and damages enemies in his path.
