Iron Jaw Gulch is a desert village within the Cloudbreak Islands. Here, the Skylanders seek information about the Ancient Terrasquid, but must defend the local Dirt Sharks against the Greeble Airships in order to earn directions from Marshal Wheelock.
Description
Iron Jaw Gulch is located in the Barrens Desert, where warm sand, sunbaked stones, and cacti line the ground. The level is themed after a wild-western city, and its buildings appear to be made of clay. A clear blue sky completes the desert's arid atmosphere.

Trivia
- The beginning of Iron Jaw Gulch plays a westernized remix of Dragon's Peak's theme, while Mushroom Grove's theme plays during battles.
- The Calamity Canyon racetrack in Skylanders: SuperChargers takes place in Iron Jaw Gulch.
- In the alpha build of Swap Force, this level was called Yo Ho Alamo during development.[1]
- Early on, this level also reused the Arena battle theme from Skylanders: Giants, Secret Vault of Secrets's theme, Cutthroat Carnival's theme, and Rumbletown's theme, and Shattered Island's theme.[2]
- Swap Force's alpha dialogue suggests that the Skylanders would originally have to help various trapped Dirt Shark NPCs throughout the level, with Wheellock acting as a guide throughout. The final pirate airship was going to be the largest, serving as the fleet's flagship, and defeating it would cause the Greebles to disband. Jumping on the Kangarats' drums would have inspired the Kangarats to help fight in the battle, while completing the Rocket Zone would help take out a Greeble Airship in a canyon.[3]
- In Swap Force's alpha, Wheellock refers to an "hourglass construct" in Iron Jaw Gulch that pumps water to all of the surrounding towns, likely referring to the structure that would eventually become the 10,000 Gallon Hat. The Skylanders had to defend this structure to preserve the towns' water supply.[3]
