The Iron Fist of Arkus is a large, mechanical hand in Skylanders: Giants that was wielded by the Arkeyan King when he ruled over Skylands 10,000 years ago.
Powers
Constructed with the elements of both Magic and Tech, the Iron Fist of Arkus possesses the ability to summon machines that releases evil and good magic, as well as create Arkeyan enemies. If an organic being wields the Iron Fist, they will be transformed into a larger, yet powerful Arkeyan version of themselves big enough to hold the Fist of Arkus and command an army of Arkeyans. The Fist of Arkus can also create a forcefield to protect itself and the wielder.
Story
History
After the Arkeyans took over Skylands, they had a strict policy about what the now-conquered inhabitants were allowed to do and not do. It was often said that they "Ruled with an iron fist." This got back to the Arkeyan leaders, who were not familiar with this metaphor, and believed that these other races actually expected their leaders to literally have an iron fist.
Not wanting to disappoint or confuse anyone, the Arkeyan robot king had an iron fist constructed. Then, during public appearances, the king kept getting asked what the iron fist actually did. Of course, it didn't do anything, so the king had it forged with a blend of Magic and Tech to bestow a superior powers and ultimate authority over his Arkeyan army of robots. Why didn't he just do it in the first place? Well, it turns out he probably shouldn't have done it at all, because the other Arkeyans found out that having the Iron Fist of Arkus gave these powers, they tried to steal it from the king when he wasn't looking. This led to frequent power struggles throughout Arkeyan history.[1]
The Giants, the original Skylanders, took on the previous Arkeyan King and removed the Iron Fist of Arkus from his grasp. Without the Fist of Arkus, and a King to command them, the Arkeyans were deactivated all throughout Skylands. However, with the last of its remaining power, the Iron Fist of Arkus banished the Giants from Skylands before falling silent within the Lost City of Arkus.
Skylanders: Giants
Kaos sought after the Iron Fist of Arkus to rule over an army of Arkeyans to take full control over Skylands. When he finally claimed the Fist, it transformed him into a large Arkeyan robot and he resurrected the Arkeyan army with its power. As the Skylander fought against Robo-Kaos, he used the Iron Fist to summon Arkeyan enemies as well as create machines that create good and evil magic.
The Iron Fist was soon removed from Kaos's grip, and as the evil Portal Master desperately tried to reclaim it, the Lost City of Arkus was collapsing around him. The Arkeyan Conquertron and Glumshanks took Kaos to safety, ignoring his demands to return to where the Iron Fist lied. After the city's destruction, the Iron Fist was lost forever. But in the secret ending, it was revealed that the Fist of Arkus was found by Chompies, who use it as a music band for their parties.
