Elemental Sources Magic Water Earth

Magic, Water and Earth Elemental Sources.

The Eternal Sources are the main components of the Core of Light that are featured in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. They are embodiments of each original element: Air, Life, Undead, Earth, Fire, Water, Magic, and Tech. With certain Eternal Sources, the player must face Kaos and his evil clones of the Skylanders in order to obtain them. He also casts spells using the power of the Source, such as Doom Sharks (Water), lasers (Undead), insects (Life), and fireballs (Fire).

Story

After the Core of Light was destroyed by Kaos and his Hydra, the Eternal Sources were scattered throughout Skylands, sometimes stolen by creatures, returning to its original location, or manifesting their powers in dangerous ways. It is up to the new Portal Master and their Skylanders to retrieve the Eternal Sources to rebuilding the Core of Light to repel The Darkness.

After the upper half of the Core of Light was torn apart and swallowed by the Sky Eater's rift in Skylanders: SuperChargers, the Core was rebuilt in the Sensei Light Realm. However, several of its components are missing, and the fate of several Sources is unknown.

List of Eternal Sources

Eternal Air Source

The Eternal Air Source

The Eternal Air Source was recovered by the Drow and taken to the Stormy Stronghold. However, their attempts to harness the power of the Air Source went wrong, as it turned into a large twister that began blowing the castle apart. It is the first Eternal Source obtained. Upon arriving at Stormy Stronghold, the Skylanders had to lower the lightning pylons to put the castle back together in order to retrieve the Eternal Air Source.

When placed in the Core of Light, it clears debris from the platform and summons stone guardians on its edges.

Eternal Water Source

The Eternal Water Source

After the Core of Light was destroyed, the Eternal Water Source returned to the sea in Leviathan Lagoon. The Skylanders needed to gather the idol statues around the Lagoon that were needed to summon the Water Source. However, before they could retrieve the Eternal Source, the Skylanders were swallowed by the Leviathan and ended up in its belly, where they would face Kaos, who used the Eternal Water Source to conjure frightening water spells and create his Water Minions.

When placed in the Core of Light, the Water Source activates the main tower and rises it from the ground, using the water pipes hidden in the lower mechanisms that lead to the Twin Spouts of Ocea Major-Minor.

Eternal Earth Source

The Eternal Earth Source

A group of Mabu in Stonetown guarded the Eternal Earth Source until the Skylanders would arrive to collect it. However, the Eternal Source turned itself into a Stone Golem. It wrecked havoc upon the town's population until the Skylanders defeated it, turning the Eternal Earth Source back into its true form.

When placed in the Core, it activates the inner structure's giant crystal, which fires a beam of brilliant light through its various lenses and the Crystal Eye.

Eternal Life Source

The Eternal Life Source

The Eternal Life Source was hidden in a giant acorn in Falling Forest. Just before the Skylanders could retrieve it, Kaos arrived and fought them using his Life Minions and spells powered by the Eternal Life Source. After defeating the Life Minions, the Skylanders were able to retrieve the Eternal Life Source.

When placed in the Core, it grows a pair of flowers around the main structure that release a mysterious floating pollen; and their roots envelop the mechanisms in the lower half.

Eternal Tech Source

The Eternal Tech Source

The Eternal Tech Source was taken by the Trolls in Battlefield, where they were using it to power their secret weapon, the Troll Super Tank.

When placed in the Core, it activates the gear structures previously placed through the Green Goo circuits on the roots, allowing the gears to move and turn on the higher structure's moving platform.

Eternal Undead Source

The Eternal Undead Source

The Eternal Undead Source was located in the Creepy Citadel, where it was guarded by the forces of the Undead. When the Skylanders came close to retrieving it, Kaos appeared and summoned his Undead Minions to battle the Skylander while using the Eternal Undead Source to conjure spells.

When placed into the Core, it awakens the ghosts that lay deep inside the structure, and they activate the Skull Mask before disappearing from view.

Eternal Fire Source

The Eternal Fire Source

The Eternal Fire Source was located in the Lava Lakes Railway, where Kaos used it against the Skylanders to summon Fire spells while summoning his Fire Minions. Its heat can only be contained by the Crucible of Ages.

When placed into the Core, it releases pulsating fire that travels through the lower half's circuits, increasing the beam's strength and igniting the Crucible on the outside.

Eternal Magic Source

“Portal Master, you have retrieved the final element, the very essence of Skylands: the Eternal Magic Source!”
    —Master Eon
The Eternal Magic Source

The Eternal Magic Source is the final main component of the Core of Light. According to the Weapon Master, the Eternal Magic Source was the original source of all creations. The Arkeyans uncovered its secrets, which they hid from the other races to prevent them becoming more powerful. The Eternal Magic Source was held in the Arkeyan Armory, until the Skylanders retrieved it.

When placed into the Core to finish its main purpose, it reboots the entire machine, making it run much faster when turned back on. With all of its components empowered by the magic, the main crystal fires a much stronger beam through the lenses, making its Quicksilver-bound runes shine brightly and changing the structure of the Crystal Eye's focused beam into an endless pillar of light.
