The plants as they appear in the Skylanders Universe collection menu.

Plants were items found in the Skylanders: Universe webgame, though various sources on the rest of the series indicate they're found all over Skylands. They grant elemental power to the Skylander eating them. However, they will only do so if the elements match. Each Skylander also has a favorite plant that will give extra magic power.

In Skylanders: Lost Islands, plants are referred to as "Crops" and can be harvested for Energy. It also has two exclusive plant types, Solarium for the Light element and Lunara for the Dark element. Crops can be fertilized with Radiance using Gems, which lowers their grow time to ten seconds and doubles the amount of Energy they produce.

  • Renaissance is a play on the term used for the history period between the Middle Ages and modern history, which is also the french word for rebirth.

  • Spitfire also shares its name with a Fire SuperCharger.
  • Though gourds resembling Thornkins have appeared in Skylanders: Trap Team and forward, none of the elemental plants have been specifically seen and/or mentioned in any main game or in Skylanders Academy.
  • In Skylanders: Ring of Heroes, it is mentioned plants without elemental energy cannot be grown properly in Skylands, as Master Eon helps Adriana enchant her Earth-derived plants with Life magic so they would survive.
  • Ninjini is the only Skylander without a favorite plant.
