Chompy Pastepetals are yellow mutant Chompies that have the ability to split into two halves. After that, the smaller halves with one eye stalk become as fast as Chompy Blitzblooms.

Trivia
- Chompy Pastepetals have a large version simply called Mister Chompy, seen only in the Water Elemental Gate in Kaos' Fortress. One of them stepped into the pool of magical water, transforming itself into a giant.
- Although robotic enemies in Kaos' Fortress take damage from the toxic goo hazards, Chompy Pastepetals can run on top of the goo without taking any damage, owing to their nature as mutants.
- In concept art, Chompy Pastepetals included pink markings around their mouth and eyes.[1]
